Grade separator installed at KSB Chowk

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pimpri: The work of installing a grade separator at KSB Chowk on Telco Road has been completed and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is planning to open it for the public soon.
The work for the two parallel grade separators, as well as two parallel flyovers at KSB Chowk, had started in 2014.
The flyovers and grade separators were planned to reduce traffic congestion at this busy junction.
The two parallel flyovers on the Kalewadi Phata-Dehu Alandi Road are 810m long and 8m wide.
Two BRTS lanes will pass between the flyovers at the grade level and people using the crossroad connecting Nigdi and Bhosari are supposed to use the grade separator.
KSB Chowk has now become the first junction in Pimpri-Chinchwad to have flyovers and grade
separators at the same
junction.
Vijay Bhojane, Deputy Engineer and spokesperson of BRTS department, said, “After opening this grade separator, traffic from both sides will be allowed to use the same grade separator, as the work of another grade separator will be
undertaken.
“The work of the grade separator will be completed in three months.”
