Mega block on Pune-Lonavla section

Pune: Due to maintenance and repair work of the railway signalling system, bridge and OHE and other required technical works with the aim of improving punctuality of trains, the railway administration has decided to make a mega block in the Pune-Lonavla section on Sunday. This block will continue from 11.40 am till 4.10 pm. Improvement in the signalling system will help improve the traffic of trains on this route, which will definitely benefit the Pune-Lonavla section, said a senior official of Pune railway division.

During this period, the work of automatic signalling system between Kamshet-Talegaon and works related to construction of bridge near Kamshet and Wadgaon and construction of bridge near KM 145/4-5 will be done. As a result, some mail/express trains, passenger and local trains will be affected. Some trains have been cancelled and some trains will be stopped in the section for some time while a vehicle will be transported via converted route.

The railway has cancelled the 11009/10 Sinhgad Express and 12125/26 Pragati Express on Sunday from both sides, also 51317/8 Karjat-Pune-Karjat passenger train has been cancelled.

The mega block will affect the local passengers on Pune-Lonavla-Pune rail routes. The railway has cancelled train number 99803 Lonavla-Pune, which departs at 6.30 am, train number 99903 Talegaon-Pune, which departs at 7.50 am, train number 99807 Lonavla-Pune, which departs at 7.20 pm, train number 99905 Talegaon-Shivajinagar that departs at 9.07 am, train number 99809 Lonavla-Pune (10.10 am), train number 99811 Lonavla-Pune (11.30 am), train number 99813 Lonavla-Pune departing at 2 pm, train number 99815 Lonavla-Pune departing at 2.50 pm, train number 99817 Lonavla-Pune departing at 3.40 pm and train No. 99907 Talegaon-Pune 
departing at 4.38 pm.

Similarly, trains departing from Pune will be cancelled, such as train number 99806 Pune-Lonavla departing at 5:45 am, train number 99808 Pune-Lonavla departing at 06.30 am, train number 99902 Pune-Talegaon that departs at 06.50 am, train number 99904 Pune-Talegaon, which departs at 08.07 am, train No. 99812 Pune-Lonavla departing at 09.55 am, train number 99814 Shivajinagar-Lonavla departing at 11.20 am, train number 99816 Pune-Lonavla that departs at 12.15 pm, train No. 99818 Pune-Lonavla that departs at 1 pm, train number 99820 Pune-Lonavla that departs at 3 pm, train No. 99906 Pune-Talegaon 3.40 pm.

Regularised Trains 
The Railways has regularised few trains on this routes. 
† Train No 17222 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Kakinada Port Express, train No 16339 Mumbai-Nagercoil Express will halt between Lonavla and Kamshet stations for approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.
† The train number 17031 Mumbai-Hyderabad Express will halt between Lonavla-Kamshet stations for about 1 hour. 
† Train No. 17321 Hubli-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will halt on the Pune railway junction for approximately 3 hours and 25 minutes. 
† Train Number 11008 Pune-Mumbai Deccan Express will halt between Pune and Dehu Road stations for about 20 minutes.

Diverted route
† Train No. 11026 up Pune-Bhusaval Express, which departs from Pune at 11.45 am, will be diverted to Bhusaval via Daund-Manmad on Sunday.
