MIT-WPU Students Plant 501 Trees

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: The students of MIT-WPU Aarohan undertook a tree plantation drive in which they planted 501 trees in Wadachi Wadi, Kondhwa. The effort was aided by Forest Department official.

The drive, #PlantTheFuture was the brainchild of students who organise the annual fest at the MIT-WPU Kothrud campus every year.

The campaign, initiated by Aarohan, will also plant trees and saplings if the residents of Pune approach them for it. Any resident can get in touch with their team or reach them on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter at @mitaarohanfest with the hashtag #PlantTheFuture.

The students will go to their houses with saplings and proper equipment.

The campaign ends on November 17.
