Pune: Farmhouse manager shot in broad daylight at Talegaon; injured

Pune: In a shocking incident, a manager of the farmhouse was shot by unidentified men. The incident took place in Talegaon, Pune on Tuesday. Police have identified the injured managers as Milind Manerikar (50), a resident of Talegaon. A case has been filed with Talegoan police station.

The incident took place near Vahangaon in Maval taluka on Wednesday. The manager is critically injured with three bullets have hit him in the stomach and is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.

According to the police officials, the injured Milind Manerikar works as a manager at Sankalp Farm House near Vahangaon. Manerikar was on his way to the farmhouse in a car with his colleague Chetan Nimkar around 9.30 am on Wednesday. As they were about to reach Vahangaon, the two unidentified persons wearing masks came on a motorcycle from behind their car. As well as the bike on which they were plying did not have a number plate. The duo restrained Manerikar's car with their hand. Under the excuse of asking the farmhouse address, where injured pull down the car glasses to talk to them and directed the way.”

 “Taking advantage of such a situation, the pillion rider immediately removed his country-made pistol and pointed at Manerikar and fired three rounds at him. Manerikar has sustained three bullet injuries on his stomach. He was critically injured and felt unconscious. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment for immediate bases and is currently undergoing treatment in Private hospital in the Intensive Care Unit. We suspect the firing might be out of some money issues and other past rivalry but the information will be clear once Manerikar speaks to us. We are investigating the case,” the police officials added.
