Pune: From past few days, the graph of COVID-19 is seen surging with the number of cases has increased in Pune city. With social distancing flouted in many places, new cases of novel coronavirus are on the rise. Due to the decrease in COVID cases, it had resulted in laxity among the people and Puneties are seen venturing without masks.
If Punekars continue to violate all COVID-19 restrictions, the state government may impose new lockdown in the region. Pune, once the epicentre of COVID-19 is returning to normalcy but amid some violators the region can go under the lockdown. Whether the lockdown will be imposed or not remains the question, till the time we will check the areas of Pune where maximum cases are being reported.

On Tuesday, Pune city (Pune Municipal Corporation) reported 309 new COVID-19 cases taking the total cases witnessed to 1,95,496. On the positive front, 272 patients were discharged from city’s various hospitals on Tuesday. The total recoveries in the city now stands at 1,88,975.
Deputy Chief Minister who is also Guardian Minister of Pune talking to mediapersons on Monday expressed unhappiness over people in the state for violating COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines put in place in regards to the infection. “After speaking with CM Uddhav Thackeray, we will have to take some strict measures if the number of cases continue to surge in the state. People must keep wearing masks and maintain social distance in order to avoid the spread of the infection.”

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday gave a stringent warning that if people violate COVID-19 protocols, they should be prepared for another lockdown.
