Pune: A Lohegaon-based businessman was beaten up, disrobed and threatened with making his video viral by three suspects who were demanding recovery of interest amount despite the victim paying his principal loan amount.

Yerawada police have arrested the three suspects in this case. The arrested suspects have been identified as Avinash Kamble (28), a resident of Tingre Nagar in Vishrantwadi, Tanaji Vitthal Jadhav (30) and Tushar Hanumant Shelke (22), both residents of Kalas Gaon in Vishrantwadi. The victim businessman Vikas Kamble (36), a resident of Lohegaon has filed a complaint against the three suspects. Based on his complaint, a FIR has been lodged against the trio at Yerawada police station.

According to police, the complainant Vikas Kamble has his own telemarketing business in the name of 'Royal Solutions'. The suspect Avinash Kamble is a labour contractor and also indulges in private money lending business.

Vikas Kamble had taken a loan of Rs 5 lakh from Avinash Kamble for business purposes. Vikas had returned the loan amount to Avinash from time to time, however Avinash continued to demand the recovery of the interest amount. Since Vikas suffered economic losses during the lockdown he was unable to repay the interest amount.

The suspect Avinash Kamble along with his accomplices Tanaji and Tushar reached at Ashok Plaza where Vikas Kamble has an office. Avinash called Vikas outside his office and asked him to accompany him on his bike. The suspects took Vikas to an open space in Kalas Gaon and disrobed him.

The suspects then started beating him and recorded video of this entire incident. The suspects also threatened to make this video viral if Vikas does not pay the amount. Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Aalekar is investigating the case.
