Pune Municipal Corporation to send property tax bills through email

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will send property tax bills through emails. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, PMC has not been able to print and circulate the bills. The PMC property tax department has also cleared that if taxpayers pay bills before or on 30 April 2020, they will get 5 to 10 per cent of rebate in bills.

However, due to COVID-19 outbreak, the corporation has uploaded property tax bills for the year of  2020-21 in the system, but they did not print the bills.

Vilas Kanade, Property Tax Department Head, said, “In the present situation, it was not possible to print and circulate bills to taxpayers. Out of that, PMC has the data of mobile numbers of nine lakh taxpayers.”
