Pune: Pune has seen a continous spike of COVID-19 cases, forcing the authorities to continue strict restrictions against the spread of COVID-19. As a result, schools, colleges, coaching classes will remain shut till March 14, in Pune city, Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol said.
Also, a night-time curfew from 11 PM to 6 AM imposed last week, along with fresh restrictions on large gatherings and operations of restaurants and bars will continue till further notice.
Murlidhar Mohol said, "On the backdrop of rising cases of coronavirus cases in the city, the administration had decided to close all schools, colleges to February 28. However, the aforementioned establishments will remain close till March 14. Also, the night travelling restrictions will remain in place."
Meanwhile, Pune city (Pune Municipal Corporation) reported 739 new cases on Saturday taking the tally to 2,01,928. With six deaths on Saturday, death total has passed over 4850.
