Pune: With no additional restrictions, the Pune administration on Thursday issued same ‘Unlock’ guidelines as state government. The order was declared by Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar with no new rules.
The order read, “Hotels, food courts, restaurants and bars will be permitted to run for dine-in facility, with a sitting capacity of 50 per cent or that decided by the local body, starting October 5. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the same would be issued soon and it would be obligatory to follow them.”
Also, the movement of transport carrying liquid oxygen will be permitted across state and from one state to another without any borders, the order further stated.
All other services and activities allowed in the former stages of ‘Unlock’ will stay in place. The inter-district movement of trains will recommence within the state, as per the guidelines of state and central governments.
On the other side, educational institutions will remain shut. Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres will remain closed. Also, social, religious, political, sports, entertainment, cultural and educational gatherings is not permitted.
The Uddhav Thackeray led-government on Wednesday issued new guidelines for Unlock 5.0 with extending the lockdown till October 31 under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, and the Disaster Management Act.
Meanwhile, Pune district on Thursday reported 2,656 new COVID-19 cases including 1,036 from the city limits (Pune Municipal Corporation). On the other side, 633 new cases were reported from Pimpri Chinchwad limits (Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation) followed by 744 in rural areas while Cantonment Board witnessed 66 new cases. Also, 69 people lost their lives amid the novel virus in district on Thursday. On the positive front, 3,678 patients were discharged from the various hospitals from the district.
