Pune’s BORI offers an online course in ‘Indian Heritage.’

Pune: Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI) will be starting an online course Introduction to Indian Heritage’ from April 26. The online course is designed and will be conducted in collaboration with Heritage India and Nyansa.

360-degree course
From Vedas to food and from grammar to botany, this 360-degree course will encompass cultural, literary, scientific and natural heritage.

“There has been increasing interest in India’s history and heritage. People have shown great enthusiasm and appetite for authentic sources of such knowledge. Secondly, the relevance of ancient Indian wisdom has become a topic of much research and curiosity across the globe. Hence, BORI took a conscious decision to promote interdisciplinary research and to reach out larger audience through various digital and interactive mechanisms,” a press release issued by the institute in this regard stated.

List of faculties
The esteemed faculties include Dr GB Deglurkar, Dr Sucheta Paranjape, Dr Shreenand Bapat, Dr Shrikant Karlekar, Dr Manjiri Bhalerao, Dr Vijaya Deshpande, Dr Sachin Punekar, Dr Amruta Natu, Dr Gauri Bedekar, Dr Ambarish Khare, Dr Pradeep Apte, Sudheer Vaishampayan, Dr Pradeep Gokhale.

Live on Google meet
The course will begin on April 26. The series of 24 interactive lectures will be presented live on Google Meet platform every evening between 7 pm to 8 pm.
