Rotary Club of Pune Heritage to organise prog on Sept 29

Pune: Emphasising on the importance of supporting the families of martyred soldiers and contributing to the health sector, the Rotary Club of Pune Heritage will organise a programme in Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha on September 29.

The collected fund through the event will be given to families of martyred soldiers and Neurological Department of the Sassoon General Hospital.

The Club members have planned a project of Rs 25 lakh for the hospital. Also, Rs 10 lakh will be provided from city’s Rotary Club members and Rs 15 lakh will be provided by Rotary International. Entry fee for the event is Rs 500, Rs 300 and Rs 100 for students attending the event.

Founder of Lakshya Foundation, Anuradha Prabhudesai who has been working for the soldiers who are living in insurmountable conditions will be the speaker at the event and will address the crowd to bridge the gap between soldiers and civilians.

“Her work for soldiers has grown multifold,” said Avinash Ogale, Assistant Governor at Rotary Club.

Training programme for teachers of students with hearing and speech difficulties, slow learners and mentally challenged children, adolescence lecture at Mahesh Vidyalaya Kothrud, one-to-one counseling session of Ekalavya Bal Shikshan and Arogya Nyasa are some of the recent projects completed under Rotary Club of Pune Heritage.
