State govt' Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Pursakar to Ajit Kembhavi and Pushpa Khare

PUNE: Former director, Inter-university Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) Prof. Ajit Kembhavi along with former faculty, Physics Department, Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar, Associate, IUCAA,

Pushpa Khare will receive the 'Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Pursakar for their book 'Gravitational Waves: A new tool to watch and understand Universe in Marathi.

The award is given by Maharashtra Rajya Sahitya ani Sanskruti Mandal (State Government body for Culture and Literature). under ‘Late Yashwantrao Chavan State Literature Award Scheme’.

This book has been awarded under the category of ‘Science-Technology (including Computer and Internet)’ of the ‘Adult’ section. and will be given in a ceremony to be held in Mumbai on February 27.
