Pune city's minimum temperature on Monday gone below 10 degrees Celsius

Pune: With the city reporting the cold breeze, Pune on Monday witnessed a drop in night temperature at 9.2 degree Celsius. The mercury will dip further two days, according to the weather department. The city’s minimum temperature on Monday gone below 10 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature reported was 28.2 degrees Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the cold conditions in northern states of India is likely to improve over the next three days. KS Hosalikar, Head, Regional Meteorological Centre, Mumbai on his Twitter handle said, “As per IMD GFS forecast, Min temp in state could see further drop with interior dropping to single digit at isol places in Vidarbha, Marathwada & N Madhya Mah. Nashik,Pune vry likely further drop.Mumbai Thane may see ~16-18°C.Trend likely to cont nxt 24 hrs.”

According to the weather department, the minimum temperature will remain around 9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The first week of December witnessed 10.4 degrees Celsius temperature however it was later increased and the city witnessed some dark clouds for a few days.

Pune will witness some cold due to the coldwave conditions predominant in northern states of the country. Parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Haryana and Punjab are experiencing the cold wave.

Talking about rest of Maharashtra, seven degrees Celsius temperature was recorded at Gondia and Yavatmal trail by Parbhani at 7.4 degrees Celsius while Nagpur reported 8.4 degrees Celsius.
