India won by four wickets against tournament favourites Australia at Brisbane to lift the Border Gavaskar Trophy

Twitter flooded with congratulatory messages for Team India after they defeated Australia in the fourth Test in Brisbane on Tuesday. Shubhman Gill, (91), Cheteshwar Pujara (56) and Rishabh Pant (89) helped India chase down the 328-run target set by Australia to win the four-match series 2-1.

India’s victory came after they draw the Sydney Test and suffered a defeat to Aussies in Adelaide and also without the services of regular first XI players like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, KL Rahul, Umesh Yadav to name a few.

This is the second time India has managed the huge achievement since they began touring Australia in 1947-48. India’s achievement led by Ajinkya Rahane has left fans all over the world ecstatic.
