England slammed India by 227 runs in the first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and Sunday and yet again cricket fans want Ajinkya Rahane to be the captain of the ship for the remaining Test matches.

After defeating India in Chennai, England took a 1-0 lead in the four-match series. After setting India a 420-run target, the visitors bowled India out for 192 in 58.1 overs, with left-arm spinner Jack Leach taking four wickets while speed gun James Anderson three. After winning the toss, England scored 578 in their first innings and India posted 337, conceding a lead of 241. In their second innings, England was bundled at 178 and set a 420-run target for India.

This was Virat Kohli’s fourth-consecutive defeat in the Test cricket. From suggesting a permanent spot at leadership for Rahane to demanding Kohli work harder many had a lot to say online. Whether team management will give the charge to Ajinkya Rahane or not is no easy decision and time will answer the same. Till the time, let’s check out what cricket fans are saying about Jinx to take the responsibility in the whites.

The second Test will also be played in Chennai itself from Saturday.
