Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh declared that his contract with Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has ended.
The Turbonator in his tweet said, “As my contract comes to an end with @ChennaiIPL, playing for this team was a great experience..beautiful memories made &some great friends which I will remember fondly for years to come..Thank you @ChennaiIPL , management, staff and fans for a wonderful 2years.. All the best..”
The spinner had previously spent the of his IPL spells in the Mumbai Indians (MI) but was released from in 2018 edition of the tournament. It was Chennai based club picking up the experienced spinner. The spinner had decided to pull out of IPL 2020 in UEA, held from September-November amid personal reasons.
Ahead of IPL next year, the deadline for player retentions is January 21 and the trading window closes on February 4. Earlier month PTI quoted Brijesh Patel, the IPL governing council chairman as saying, “We will have the players' retention till January 21 and the trading window for the franchises closes on February 4.”
