Brazilian star footballer Neymar Jr on Sunday responded to the rumours about his verified account on the online dating app Tinder, confirming that he is not on Tinder and jokingly said that the person using his name was running the account wisely.
A verified profile with his name was found on Tinder after which the screenshots of the account got viral on social media.
The PSG striker took to Twitter to deny the claims and wrote, "I hope that whoever is using the tinder with my name is representing well huh," alongside four crying face emojis.
The 29-year-old also replied to an Instagram post of a Brazilian gossip tabloid. The post said: "And there we go! A follower found @neymarjr's profile on tinder. The profile was verified. Would you like it?"
To this post, Neymar once again said that the account did not belong to him. "Whoever is using it is having fun, huh, unfortunately, it's not mine," he responded on the Instagram post.
The PSG superstar is known for his flamboyant lifestyle off the field and is one of the most talked-about football stars in the world.
The Brazilian has just returned to training after being out for a month due to a thigh injury on February 10 in French Cup. He was also ruled out of both legs of PSG’s Champions League last-16 tie against his former club Barcelona.
He became the world’s expensive player when he joined PSG from Barcelona for 265 million dollars in 2017. He has played four seasons for PSG in which he has scored 87 goals in 113 matches.
