PYC Hindu Gymkhana to take on VVCA in final

Pune: Hosts PYC Hindu Gymkhana made a good comeback against Cadence Academy to enter the finals of the PYC-Goldfieldd Mandke Trophy being played at PYC and Deccan Gymkhana grounds.

Starting from their overnight score of 160 runs for the loss of five wickets, Cadence put on  216 runs for loss of 9 wickets taking a 32 run first innings lead. 

In the second innings a second wicket 92 runs in 76 balls partnership between Divyang Hingnekar (42) and Mandar Bhandari (32) helped PYC score   146 runs losing 8 wickets  in 20 overs setting Cadence a target of 115 runs. In the second innings Cadence were bowled out for 33 to go down by 81 runs. Yogesh  Chavan  took 3 wickets for 15 runs while Ameya Bhave and Rohan Damle claimed two wickets each. 
 
In another match, starting from 124 runs for loss of five wickets Deccan Gymkhana reached  177 runs for the loss of 9 wickets  in 40 overs ceding a 36 runs lead to Varroc. 

In the second inning,Varroc Vengasarkar Cricket Academy put on  172 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs with Ruturaj Gaikwad hitting a lusty unbeaten  74 setting up a target of 209 for Deccan Gymkhana.
   
However Deccan could reach 94 runs for the loss of seven wickets in  their 20 overs handing VVCA a  114 runs win.
