Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah has married TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan in Goa on Monday.

Indian Cricketer Jasprit Bumrah tied the knot with sports presenter and anchor Sanjana Ganesan on Monday. Calling it one of the happiest days of their lives, Bumrah took to Twitter to share the adorable pictures from the wedding ceremony.

"Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Jasprit & Sanjana," Bumrah tweeted.

According to the media reports, Bumrah’s wife Sanja Ganesan is a sports presenter. The 29-year-old, who hails from Pune, has hosted many popular shows on Star sports India including Match Point and Cheeky Singles during the Cricket World Cup 2019.

She, however, started her career as a model and slowly drifted towards anchoring sports programmes. She has won several competitions after joining the modeling world such as ‘Femina Officially Gorgeous’ and finished up as the finalist in Femina Miss India Pune Competition. She was also a part of the popular reality show MTV Splitsvilla 7.

Other than Cricket, she has also presented for Premier Badminton League (PBL) and ‘Dil Se India’ for star sports. She also hosts the Kolkata Knight Riders team show ‘The Knight Club’. She was a sports presenter for the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2020 and has also hosted award ceremonies for the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI).

Sanjana also took to Twitter and said: "Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you."

Sanjana and Bumrah had remained tight-lipped about their relationship until the two got married. The 27-year-old had opted out of the fourth Test against England, citing personal reasons. He has also been rested for the five-match T20I series against the visitors keeping his workload management in mind.

Meanwhile, in the shortest format, Team India made a brilliant comeback in the T20I series as the team registered a comprehensive 8-wicket victory in the second T20I on Sunday after losing the first game. The third game of the series will be played on Tuesday.
