#WhatsAppDown: Users take to Twitter after Facebook-owned company faces unknown troubles with connectivity

Several users took to Twitter after facing troubles in using Facebook owned WhatsApp. According to the micro blogging site, the app has reportedly been down since 11:00 PM on Friday.

The error has prevented users from sending, as well as receiving messages. However, many also complained about a similar glitch on Instagram.

"Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have trouble accessing some Facebook services. We resolved this issue for everyone, and we apologise for any inconvenience," said a spokesperson from Facebook.
