Mumbai: SBI General Insurance, one of India's leading general insurers, has appointed Udayan Joshi as its Chief Technical and Claims Officer. In this role, Joshi will be instrumental in driving strategic underwriting and reinsurance initiatives to ensure sustainable profitability. He will also oversee the Claims function, aiming to deliver top-tier, hassle-free claim services to customers.
Joshi brings nearly two decades of extensive experience in the insurance industry, having held significant roles at Liberty General Insurance and ICICI Lombard.
His expertise spans various functions within the general insurance sector, including underwriting and pricing, claims management, reinsurance, operations, and customer experience.
Joshi holds a graduate degree in Commerce and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and Company Secretary (ICSI). Additionally, he has specialized in Insurance & Risk Management from ICAI, further highlighting his proficiency in the field.
