Knight in shining armour

When Patty Jenkins, the American director dropped the first look of Gal Gadot-starrer Wonder Woman 1984 on Twitter, it thrilled every superhero fan across the globe. It is one of the coolest  superhero posters that is bursting with colours.

The official Wonder Woman 1984 features Gadot as the fierce Amazon warrior Daina Prince, decked up in what appears to be a brand new costume, surrounded by trippy light in the shape of — what else — a W.

The new poster has Gadot donning a fresh suit, a fiery golden colour armour body. She stands in the midst of multicoloured patterns that spell out WW (Wonder Woman). The new costume for the DC superhero  appears to be a reference to Wonder Woman’s Golden Eagle armour from the comics. The updated look has been a popular rumour among fans who hoped to see the comic book version’s floor-length eagle wings and American flag scarf. Gadot took to Instagram and shared the image of herself in the new suit with the fans. Spelling out the same message as the director she wrote, “Although all of us at Warner Brothers won’t be seeing you at SDCC — Hall H this year. We are so excited for what’s to come. So until then here’s a little gift from us to you.... #WW84.”

The new film, which is scheduled to release next year on June 5, will place Wonder Woman in the 1980s, where she will face Daina’s iconic adversary, Cheetah (Kristen Wiig). The poster and Wonder Woman’s new fiery and shining costume has got everybody talking. Imagine what the trailer and the film will do to its fans!.
