Misal madness: 130 types of different misals under one roof

Misal madness: 130 types of different misals under one roof
Published on

Punekars share immense love for arts, literature and of course food. Although the world knows how opinionated we are, but when it comes to food, we have our priority fixed. And it is rightfully fixated on none other than our own misal.

A Punekar can travel a long way, just to have and try good misal. The only thing we expect in misal every now and then is change in taste. That’s the reason we try different outlets and wander in search of misal. Punekars’ quest of misal is never ending.

This particular problem is tackled by fellow food lover Anup Dhaygude in his enterprise Aaloo Feast, which is situated in the heart of the city and offers 130 types of different misals under one roof.

Besides, Aaloo Feast also offers different types of ‘rassas’ from different regions. For example, Nashik has its specific quality of rassa for misals which is slightly black in colour, little spicy but won’t trouble your tummy whereas the rassa from Dhule is hot and spicy but the composition of the spices will not annoy the stomach.

The Khandeshi rassa has an awesome taste and the Warhadi rassa has a perfect blend of different spices which are adequately roasted. While the Nagpuri rassa is altogether different as it is cooked differently by  a method called Saoji, the Solapuri rassa is known for the usage of dried coconut and peanuts. An interesting rassa is the one from Kolhapur because true to its identity it is a Tambada Pandhara variant. While the Malwani rassa gets its taste from the proportionate blend of spices and coconut paste, the Puneri rassa cannot be missed which is a perfect blend of spiciness, sourness and sweetness.

On the top of it, Aaloo Feast has made wonderful culinary fusion of these traditional rassas with some traditional and non-traditional food items which is liked by all.

Do visit Aaloo Feast to enjoy delicious, mouthwatering and appetising misal.
