This year, several well-known artists applied for homes through the artist quota, and the results were recently revealed. Among the lucky winners are actress Gautami Deshpande, Bigg Boss fame Shiv Thakare, and actors Gaurav More and Nikhil Bane from Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra.
In the lottery results announced on October 8, Shiv Thakare and Gaurav More each secured homes in Mumbai’s Powai area, reportedly valued at approximately ₹1.80 crore.
Nikhil Bane won a home in Kannamwar Nagar. The excitement around this year's lottery was heightened by the fact that 27 artists applied for just two homes in Goregaon, leading to much speculation about who would win. It was revealed that one of the Goregaon homes has been allotted to Majha Hoshil Na actress Gautami Deshpande.
The MHADA lottery has become a crucial avenue for artists to realize their dreams of owning property in Mumbai, a city where real estate prices can often be prohibitively high.
For these four artists, securing a home through this system is a significant milestone, not only personally but also professionally, as they continue to build their careers in the entertainment industry.
