Guy In The Yellow Sweater

Pune-based theatre group Violet Ensemble brings a period play that will make you question what is myth and reality, what is history and what is legend. ‘Guy In The Yellow Sweater’ is a play set in North Ireland (1998) that will make you engrossed in its story and give you an immersive experience that sets it apart. Directed by Akul Anandur, you can watch this one-of-a-kind performance on 28 September at Raah - The Literacy and Cultural Centre, Lulla Nagar and on 29 September at The Orange Art & Book Cafe, Aundh. 

Goshta Ithe Sampat Nahi

It is a tale of valour, strength and sacrifice. It is a tale that raises our spirits and brings chills and goosebumps at every twist and turn. Watch the thrilling Marathi play, ‘Goshta Ithe Sampat Nahi’ that brings to stage the bravery and sacrifice of Shivaji Kadhid, Baji Prabhu Deshpande and 300 Bandal Warriors as they escape from Panhala fort and give their all to keep the Maratha King safe from the Bijapur armies. This play is being staged on 6 October at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir.

Dance Like A Man

Having travelled 5 continents and holding 680 successful shows worldwide, the Primetime Theatre Co is set to bring the classic play, ‘Dance Like A Man’ by Mahesh Dattani to Pune! Directed by the renowned actress Lillete Dubey and with prominent names in the cast like Suchitra Pillai, Ananth Mahadevan, Joy Sengupta and  Lillete Dubey herself, the play explores the dark secrets, motivations and inhibitions of a family of dancers as they face their reality and come circling down to the notions and restrictions behind the thought of ‘Dance Like A Man’. Watch this much-appreciated theatre piece on 17 November at Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hall.

Humare Ram

An extravagant theatrical ensemble that entails the Indian epic tale of Ram and Sita’s victory over evil, ‘Humar Ram’ brings the popular story of India in a look and scale par excellence. With popular actor Ashutosh Rana as Ravan and voices of legendary Indian musical maestros like Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam and Kailash Kher, this is a play which promises a special experience to the audience as it brings rare episodes of the epic to the stage. Directed by Gaurav Bhhardwaj, the show is happening on 11 January 2025 at Buntara Bhavana.
