AAP leaders expressed concern over the deteriorating political situation in Maharashtra since the 2019 elections. They criticized the ruling parties for failing to solve the common people's issues.

According to AAP, the time has come for Pune’s citizens to elect a government with integrity, and the party is positioning itself as the right alternative for that purpose. "We are confident that AAP will win all eight seats in Pune," said Benkar.

The party emphasized that their candidates will be highly educated individuals of good moral character, distinguishing themselves from what they called the failures of the established parties.

Benkar further alleged that the ruling coalition, Mahayuti, is embroiled in caste and religious conflicts and corruption, while serious issues like political instability, the rise of criminal groups such as the 'Koyta Gang,' growing crimes against women, youth unemployment, and increasing farmer suicides remain unaddressed.

Recently, a significant meeting happened between Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar on August 18 in Pune.

The meeting, which took place at Modi Baug in Pune, also saw the presence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh.
