Pune: The Pune Porsche accident case, which led to the tragic deaths of two young men, continues to unfold with new developments. The Agarwal family, whose minor son was involved in the fatal accident, has now approached the court to reclaim the Porsche car involved in the incident.
The accident, which occurred in Pune's Kalyani Nagar, involved the minor son of a construction businessman, Vishal Agarwal.
The boy was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol when he lost control of the Porsche, fatally striking two motorcyclists. The victims, Anish Avadhya and Ashwini Koshta, died on the spot.
Following the accident, the minor was taken into police custody but was later granted bail by the court under certain conditions, including participation in a road safety program.
Despite the severity of the incident, the Agarwal family has now petitioned the Juvenile Justice Board for the return of the Porsche. A hearing is set for August 26, with a decision expected two days later. The police have been ordered to submit their report by August 28.
This case has drawn significant attention, not only for the tragic loss of life but also for the subsequent legal proceedings.
The court's decision to grant bail to the minor, coupled with the arrest of his parents and grandfather, has sparked widespread debate. In the meantime, the minor has completed the court-mandated road safety training, which included both theoretical and practical components.
