Pune: The Maharashtra State Examination Council (MSBSHSE) will use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to prevent malpractices during the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be held on Sunday.

As many as 18,000 CCTV cameras have been installed in all the classrooms and will be live-streamed in the control room (war room) of the examination council.

With these cameras implementing state-of-the-art AI-based services, every movement in classrooms will be closely monitored. The exam will be held at 1,023 centres. A total of 75,996 students have registered for both the papers.

Since the exam is sensitive, the examination council will also use methods like physical examination and technical facial verification for the first time in addition to AI. Nandkumar Bedse and Commissioner Anuradha Oak said at a press conference.
