Pune: In response to a notice from the Pune police, a luxury car owned by trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar has vanished from her Baner bungalow. This move comes amid scrutiny over Khedkar's use of an amber light on her personal Audi car.
On Thursday (July 11), the luxury car at the Baner bungalow was seen parked and covered. However, after the Pune police issued a notice, the car was moved from the premises on Friday (July 12).
Khedkar had been using this car, fitted with an amber light, for her commutes to the District Collector's office. In addition to this vehicle, another luxury car in the bungalow was also relocated by Khedkar.
This development is the latest in a series of controversies involving Pooja Khedkar, as new allegations and incidents continue to surface daily.
Khedkar has been under the spotlight for using an amber light on her vehicle despite central government regulations prohibiting such use by officers.
The Pune police had attempted to take action against her vehicle, but they were met with resistance from Khedkar's mother, who threatened the officers and forced them to stay outside the bungalow entrance.
Chatuhshrungi Traffic Police issued a notice to Puja Khedkar asking her to bring her private Audi car for document scrutiny and further investigations into the illegal use of red and orange beacon. The car was subsequently moved on Friday.
The car in question is owned by Thermoverita Engineering Private Limited. The company’s original owner is a former associate of Khedkar's mother, Manorama Khedkar. With this information, the police are expected to issue a notice to the car's original owner.
