Baba Siddiqui Murder Investigation: Mumbai Police Detain Four from Karvenagar

The individuals detained for questioning have been identified as Rupesh Mohol, Karan Salve, Shivam Mohol, and Riyan Khan.

Pune: The murder conspiracy against NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was revealed to have been planned in the Karvenagar area of Pune, according to police investigations.

The police arrested Praveen Lonkar, a member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in connection with the case.

His brother, Shubham Lonkar, has managed to escape, but four individuals in contact with him were detained by the Mumbai Police on Wednesday (October 23) for interrogation.

The individuals detained for questioning have been identified as Rupesh Mohol, Karan Salve, Shivam Mohol, and Riyan Khan. Praveen Lonkar, Dharmaraj Kashyap, and Gurunil Singh were arrested from Pune earlier in the case.

Praveen, who used to run a dairy business in the Karvenagar area, along with his brother Shubham, had established contact with hardened criminals from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang through social media platforms.

Both were also in touch with those accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case.

Shubham Lonkar had previously been arrested by Akola Police for his involvement in supplying firearms to the Bishnoi gang.

The four individuals recently detained from Karvenagar were known to be in contact with Shubham.

In a related incident, the Bishnoi gang had threatened the owner of a local jewelry store, demanding a ransom of ₹10 crore.

Additionally, they had issued threats to a social worker on Shankar Sheth Road. The Pune Police have launched an investigation into these criminal activities, which are believed to be linked to the Bishnoi gang.
