The agitation, organized by the Sharad Pawar faction of NCP, also targeted the state government over the police's delay in registering the case and questioned the suspicious role of an institution's head linked to the BJP.

During the protest at Kalakar Katta at Gopal Krushna Gokhale Chowk, near Hotel Goodluck, under the leadership of Supriya Sule and Prashant Jagtap, slogans were raised demanding the resignations of Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar, as well as justice for women.

The entire Deccan area echoed with slogans like "Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar should resign, Shame on the Women's Commission, Provide Safety to Women, and Give the Perpetrators the Death Penalty."
