Pune: The Bansi-Ratna Charitable Welfare Trust, part of the Suryadatta Education Foundation (SEF), recently held a prestigious award ceremony to honor individuals for their significant contributions to society.
The awards, established in memory of Ratanbai and Bansilal Chordiya, celebrate exemplary individuals across various fields of service.
The “Bansi-Ratna Ideal Family National Award” was presented to Adv. SK Jain and his family, while the “Bansi-Ratna Ideal Parents National Award” went to the couple Ashabai and Ramanlal Lunkad.
Popatlal Ostwal, was recognized as “Samaj Shiromani,” Subhash Lalwani, was awarded “Samaj Bhushan,” Manik Duggad, received the “Guru Seva” award, and Shekhar Mundada was honored with the “Manav Seva” National Award 2024.
This year's awards marked the seventh year of the tradition and included a certificate of honor, a memento, and a specially designed scarf created by Suryadatta's students.
In addition to recognizing societal leaders, the event also celebrated meritorious students from the Jain community who excelled in their 10th and 12th grades. These students were awarded certificates of merit, gold medals, and mementos in recognition of their academic achievements.
During the event, Vitthal Maniyar emphasized the importance of honoring one's parents and the role of society in shaping individuals. He expressed appreciation for the efforts of Sushma and Sanjay Chordiya in recognizing those who contribute to societal good while upholding the values instilled by their parents.
Air Marshal Bhushan Gokhale (Retd) underscored the need for individuals who dedicate themselves to the betterment of society and the nation. He commended SEF for fostering these values in the younger generation by recognizing individuals who have made a meaningful impact.
Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya explained that the award ceremony was a tribute to the legacy of his parents, who had contributed extensively through their social and religious work.
