Pune: Rudra Ritesh Sawant, a student from Anekant English Medium School in Baramati, has earned the honor of being selected for the Indian baseball team that will compete in the upcoming Asian Baseball Championship in Japan.
The championship, scheduled to take place from November 23 to 28, 2024, will feature teams from across Asia in the under-12 age group.
Rudra, a 6th-grade student, has shown remarkable talent in baseball at a very young age, earning him a spot on the Indian team for this prestigious international tournament.
His sports teacher, Rekha Dhangar, has played a key role in nurturing his talent and guiding him in the sport.

Recently, Baramati native and former student of Tuljaram Chaturchand College, Radhika Milind Shah (Wagholikar), was recognized on the international stage with an honorary fellowship at the prestigious IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders) Congress held in Melbourne, Australia.
