Bhaskaracharya Mathematics Talent Search Exam for Grades 6 & 7 to Be Held in Pune

Pune: With a mission to inspire logical thinking and to identify and encourage mathematically gifted students, the Bhaskaracharya Foundation will conduct the national-level ‘Bhaskaracharya Mathematical Talent Search Exam’ on December 8 this year.

This exam, aimed at students in Grades 6 and 7, will assess students' mathematical insight and skills through syllabus-based questions and puzzles designed to encourage deeper thought.

Held in two rounds, the examination will qualify successful candidates from the first round to advance to the final round.

Kiran Barve, the Chief Organizer of the Bhaskaracharya Foundation, urged as many Grade 6 and 7 students as possible to participate.

Noting that this competition not only fosters mathematical talent but also celebrates the legacy of Bhaskaracharya II, a pioneer of Indian mathematics whose 900th birth anniversary inspired the founding of the exam in 2015.

The Bhaskaracharya Foundation has contributed significantly to mathematical research and education for over four decades and remains committed to cultivating mathematical skills among young learners across India.

Earlier, the Maharashtra State Examination Council has also released the schedule for the upcoming 5th and 8th-grade scholarship examinations, set to take place on February 9 across the state.

These exams are crucial for students aiming to secure scholarships that provide financial support during their academic journey. The deadline for students to apply with a regular fee is November 30.
