Pune: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced in the Legislative Assembly that the families of the victims of the Bhushi Dam tragedy will receive financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
Legislative Assembly member Chetan Tupe raised the issue of providing aid to the victims' families and improving safety at dangerous locations via a 'Point of Order.'
In response, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar stated that funds will be allocated through the District Planning Committee to implement preventive measures and enhance safety in the Bhushi Dam area.
These funds will be used to install warning signs, fencing, safety nets, and other necessary precautions at potentially dangerous spots.
Measures such as putting up information boards and implementing safety protocols at popular tourist spots are already in place, and similar actions will be directed for remote hazardous locations.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar assured the Assembly that district collectors and planning officers will be instructed to carry out these safety measures.

In response to this unfortunate event, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced measures to prevent such accidents in the future and to discourage people from visiting unknown dangerous spots. Warning signs will be installed at hazardous locations.
