Pune: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has organized its state executive meeting at the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi on Sunday, July 21.

The meeting will see the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with other senior officials and ministers. To ensure security, a deployment of 1,000 police officers has been arranged in the Balewadi area.

Amit Shah is scheduled to provide guidance at the meeting and will stay at a five-star hotel on Senapati Bapat Road. Given the attendance of senior leaders, temporary changes will be made to traffic management in the Balewadi area on Sunday.

Normal traffic conditions will be restored after the convoy of important dignitaries has moved, as stated by senior police officials.

The 'Chintan Baithak' meeting was initially scheduled for Sunday, July 14, but was postponed to July 21 due to the recent passing of State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule's mother. This meeting is crucial in preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections.

Amit Shah will guide key state leaders during the meeting at Balewadi. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, along with all MPs, MLAs, and city and district heads from Maharashtra, will attend the meeting.

With Assembly elections likely to be held in October, the BJP faces significant challenges from the strengthened opposition following the Lok Sabha election results.

The meeting will focus on strategizing to win the maximum number of seats in the Assembly elections, considering the changed political landscape and the unification of opposition parties.

Amit Shah will stay in Pune on Saturday, July 20. The meeting is expected to be attended by at least 3,000 party officials, according to city president Dheeraj Ghate.
