Pune: Despite five days passing since the gang rape at Bopdev Ghat, the Pune Police have been unable to trace the culprits. The investigation has encountered several obstacles, including technical difficulties and the decline of their informant network.

With modern technology unable to provide sufficient leads, police are now returning to their traditional network of informants in an effort to crack the case.

At the time of the incident, the area was shrouded in darkness, mobile networks were down, and the lack of CCTV cameras in the region has posed major challenges for the technical investigation.

Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from up to 70-80 kilometers away. Experienced officers from Pune, Solapur, and Satara districts are being brought in to assist in tracking down known offenders and gathering information.
