Pune: A case of alleged illegal seizure of a bus by finance company officials has been registered at the Swargate Police Station. The officials reportedly claimed that loan installments were overdue, even though payments had been made in full.

The incident involves Pankaj Maruti Bansode, a 42-year-old resident of Budhwar Peth, Solapur, who purchased the bus through a legal agreement from its original owner, Vijay Dattatray Kadam of Satara.

The agreement included a payment of INR 7,47,000 to Kadam, and Bansode had paid loan installments amounting to INR 3,05,179. Despite these payments, the bus was forcibly taken by representatives of RBSG Capital Finance on Saturday at around 12 PM when it was parked at Volga Chowk, Swargate.

According to the complaint, Ajay Kudve, an officer from RBSG Capital Finance, falsely accused Bansode of defaulting on payments.

Subsequently, the bus driver, Akash Landge, was forced to surrender the vehicle, which was then taken away by Vijay Kadam, Kunal Chougule, and their associate. The complainant alleges that this act was premeditated, resulting in a fraud of INR 10,52,170.

Earlier in September, a theft case has been registered against two members of another finance company’s recovery team for allegedly stealing gold and silver jewelry from a car that was seized due to unpaid loan installments.

The incident occurred in Wagholi, where the car was being taken to a godown by the recovery team. The Loni Kalbhor police have identified the accused as Taufiq Sheikh and Amit Chavan.
