Pune: Zishta is hosting ‘Sammelan,’ a three-day exhibition celebrating India’s rich and diverse handcrafted heritage.
The event, showcasing products from 650 artisans across 15 states, provides an opportunity for Pune residents to explore the full range of traditional cookware, featuring items made from cast iron, soapstone, brass, and Manipur black pottery.
As a city known for its culinary heritage, Pune’s popular dishes like misal pav and bhakri find perfect companions in Zishta’s traditional cookware, including Kadais, Tawes, and Cast Iron Raised Edge Pans.
The exhibition at Sonal Hall, Karve Road, Pune, also includes a specially curated collection of Navratri gifts, artisanal lamps, diyas, and traditional toys from regions like Etikoppaka, Varanasi, and Channapatna, making them ideal for home decor and festive gifting.
Beyond showcasing products, ‘Sammelan’ is designed to be an interactive experience, offering live demonstrations on using traditional cookware in everyday and festive cooking.
Zishta will also launch its exclusive Kansa Tulsi range of serveware and cookware, emphasizing durability and tradition for both daily use and special occasions.
A highlight of the event is the live Kalai workshop, where attendees can witness the tin-coating process of brass vessels and bring their own heirloom pieces for on-site treatment.
