Pune: On Sunday morning around 7:30 AM, a tanker carrying chemicals overturned near the garbage depot at Uruli Devachi in Undri after a tire burst.

The driver lost control near a CNG pump, causing the tanker to crash into the median before overturning. Fortunately, there were no casualties, though chemicals spilled onto the road.

Upon receiving the news of the accident, a fire engine from Kalepadal Fire Station quickly arrived at the scene and sprayed water on the tanker's engine to cool it down, preventing a major disaster.

Given that the tanker was carrying chemicals, it was lifted and moved aside with the help of three cranes. The fire department then cleaned the road to prevent further accidents due to the spilled chemicals.

Recently, a private bus had caught fire suddenly on the Solapur Highway near Hadapsar on Friday morning (August 9). Fortunately, all passengers and the driver escaped unscathed.

The bus traveling from Pune to Solapur suddenly caught fire near Kadam Baug in Hadapsar. The driver acted quickly and stopped the bus, allowing all passengers to evacuate safely.

Upon receiving the information, fire engines from Hadapsar and PMRDA were dispatched immediately. The bus was engulfed in flames.

The firefighters ensured no one was inside the bus and brought the fire under control within 20 minutes. While there were no injuries, the bus was completely destroyed, along with the passengers' belongings and a two-wheeler in the luggage compartment.

The firefighting team included Officer Pramod Sonawane, Driver Narayan Jagtap, and firefighters Baba Chavan, Aniket Taru, Avinash Dhakne, Ramdas Lad, along with PMRDA's Driver Sandeep Shelke, and firefighters Laxman Misal, Akash Rathod, Suraj Ingawale, and Sanket Kumbhar.
