They expressed that it is a moment of pride for both Pune and Maharashtra that this commendable cultural program is being organized by Swartarang Music Academy, which has a history of successful performances, including on themes like 'Bal Mukhatun Swatantryaveer Savarkar.'
Prajakta Jahagirdar, the director of the academy, shared that the idea to perform 'Geet Ramayan' at the Ram Temple stemmed from a desire to pass on the rich cultural heritage and values to the next generation.
She noted that the support and best wishes from Puneites and Marathi people have been overwhelming, and she is thrilled to see this dream being realized.
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Shri Ram at the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya was held on January 22 this year. The temple is constructed in the traditional Nagara style. Its length (east-west) is 380 feet; width is 250 feet and height is 161 feet; and is supported by a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.
The pillars and walls of the temple showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, Gods, and Goddesses. In the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor, the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ramlalla) has been placed.
