Pune: In a significant move aimed at enhancing the employability of youth, the Maharashtra state government has introduced the 'Chief Minister's Youth Employment Training Scheme' for the financial year 2024-25.
This initiative seeks to provide practical work training to students after their education. Under the scheme, students who have completed their 12th grade will receive a monthly stipend of six thousand rupees.
Those enrolled in ITI or diploma courses will be awarded eight thousand rupees per month, while graduates and postgraduates will receive ten thousand rupees.
The scheme is being implemented by the state's Department of Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, in collaboration with the Chief Minister's Public Welfare Cell.
As part of this initiative, job seekers will be connected with companies that are hiring through the online platform ‘https://rojgar.mahaswayam.gov.in/’.
Students with educational qualifications such as 12th grade, ITI, diploma, graduation, and post-graduation are encouraged to register on the aforementioned website.
The duration of the work training is set for six months, and the program is open to individuals aged between 18 to 35 years, as highlighted by Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director of the Technical Education Department.
The stipend structure under the scheme is as follows:
12th Grade: Six thousand rupees per month
ITI/Diploma: Eight thousand rupees per month
Graduates/Postgraduates: Ten thousand rupees per month
