Pune: Two individuals harassed a college-going girl traveling on a PMP bus. When confronted, they assaulted both the female conductor and an elderly passenger before fleeing the scene in the Yerawada area.
Police are searching for the two suspects. The girl’s mother has filed a complaint at the Yerawada police station. According to the complaint, the two have been charged with sexual harassment.
As per the police, the complainant's daughter and her friend were returning home from college on the PMP bus when the two individuals followed them onto the bus.
During the journey, the men attempted to engage in lewd acts with the girls. The female conductor and the elderly passenger tried to intervene but were pushed away. The two suspects got off at the Nagpur Chawl bus stop in Yerawada.
After the girls got off the bus, one of them picked up a stone from the road, at which point the suspects threatened to assault them and then fled. The frightened girl informed her mother, who subsequently lodged a complaint with the police.
Upon receiving the information, Senior Police Inspector Ravindrakumar Shelke and Assistant Police Inspector Solunke visited the scene. A search is underway for the two suspects, with Assistant Police Inspector Devkar leading the investigation.
Molestation of a Girl in Kharadi Area
A girl was molested at a PMP bus stop in the Kharadi area. The complainant was on her way home by bus when two men followed and molested her.
In this case, Sandip Parmeshwar Varkhad (28, resident of Hadapsar) and Vishnu Vitthal Shinde (27, resident of Lohegaon) have been charged by the Vishrantwadi police. Both have been arrested by the police.
