Pune: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has received the green light from PMRDA to allocate land for the Constitution Bhavan in the Moshi Pradhikaran area.
This approval, granted ten days ago, has allowed the transfer of approximately six acres of land in Sector 11 to the Municipal Corporation, accelerating the construction of the Constitution Bhavan and a Vipassana Center.
The proposal was to allocate approximately six acres in Sector 11 of Moshi Pradhikaran for the construction of the Constitution Bhavan and the Vipassana Center.
However, the land had not been transferred from PMRDA to the Municipal Corporation, causing the project to be delayed for several months. Local representatives had consistently followed up on this issue.
During the state government's monsoon session, the city's representatives met with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde regarding the construction of the Constitution Bhavan.
They demanded that if PMRDA could not manage the project, the land should be transferred to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. The Chief Minister ordered the concerned department to take action.
Accordingly, ten days ago, the PMRDA administration completed the land transfer process. The land was officially handed over on July 23, 2024. The Municipal Corporation has already advertised for the appointment of consultants, which will expedite the construction of the Constitution Bhavan.
The land transfer process for the six acres in Sector 11 from PMRDA to the Municipal Corporation is now complete. The next steps will include the appointment of consultants, preparation of the project report, and the commencement of the tender process and actual construction work.
