Pune: Western Maharashtra is grappling with a substantial amount of unpaid electricity bills, with 19.19 lakh consumers collectively owing ₹416.82 crore.

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL / Mahavitaran), the state's electricity distribution company, has issued an appeal to all defaulting consumers, urging them to clear their outstanding bills promptly. Failure to do so could result in the disconnection of their electricity supply.

Bill Payment Centers to Remain Open Over the Weekend
To make the payment process more convenient for consumers, MSEDCL has announced that all authorized electricity bill payment centers across five districts—Pune, Satara, Solapur, Sangli, and Kolhapur—will remain open on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, during office hours.

The extended hours aim to accommodate consumers who may otherwise struggle to clear their dues on weekdays.
