Pune: A dinner outing on Ashadh month-end turned violent when a minor argument led to a young man being attacked with a sharp weapon by his friend.

The incident occurred around 11:30 PM on Sunday (August 4) in the Delhiwala Gotha area of Theur. The Loni Kalbhor police have registered a case against three individuals involved in the attack.

The names of the accused are Deepak Jadhav (age 24), Sunny Pawar (age 24), and Vijay Jadhav (age 18), all residents of Theur, Taluka Haveli. Sohail Isak Shaikh (age 20), a resident of Alifnagar, Theur, Taluka Haveli, has lodged the complaint in this case.

According to the information provided by Loni Kalbhor police, the complainant Sohail Shaikh and his friends Suraj Shaikh, Pravin Chopte, Vijay Jadhav, Sunny Pawar, Deepak Jadhav, and Vinayak Ghadve went to a hotel in the Delhiwala Gotha area on Theur-Naigaon Road for dinner on Gattari Amavasya on Sunday (August 4) night.

After dinner, a minor argument escalated between Shaikh, Deepak Jadhav, Sunny Pawar, and Vijay Jadhav, leading to physical altercations and verbal abuse.

During this time, Sunny Pawar attacked Sohail Shaikh with a sharp weapon, injuring his head. Shaikh is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital.

Following the incident, Sohail Shaikh lodged a complaint against the three individuals, and a case has been registered at Loni Kalbhor police station accordingly.
