Pune: Pramod Dodke has been accused of deceiving customers and forcibly occupying a flat in a project managed by Tara Construction. This allegation has led to the registration of a fifth criminal case against him.

The case came to light when Tanaji Aba Ghatge, a 69-year-old resident of Todkar Residency in Bibvewadi, filed a complaint at the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.

According to the complaint, Dodke, a 56-year-old resident of Springfield Society in Ambegaon, has been engaging in fraudulent activities since 2016.

Ghatge had registered for a flat in the West Brook project by Tara Construction. For this transaction, he worked with Advocate Salunkhe to notarize an agreement and registered an agreement to sell at the sub-registrar's office on November 27, 2020.

Ghatge transferred a total of ₹43,48,023 online, covering both the flat and a covered parking space. However, when he subsequently requested possession of the flat, Dodke failed to provide it. Ghatge alleged that Dodke threatened him, used abusive language, and betrayed his trust with false assurances.

The police have stated that Dodke has a history of defrauding individuals. There are three prior criminal cases filed against him at the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station, along with an additional case registered at the Sahakar Nagar Police Station.

In this instance, Dilip Thakur from Tara Construction had assigned flats for sale after developing the property. However, Dodke allegedly forged documents to sell the flat, despite it being under Tara Construction's control.

In a particularly brazen move, Dodke reportedly created a duplicate key for the flat and, using a razor blade, cut the lock of the flat's door, gaining unauthorized access.

This shocking incident has prompted the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police to take immediate action. The investigation is ongoing, led by Assistant Police Inspector Bhabad.
