Flood Recedes in Ekta Nagari Sinhagad Road: Cleanup Efforts Underway

On Sunday (August 4), water released into the river led to the flooding of their neighborhood due to a stream flowing through Vitthalwadi.

Encroachments and inadequate drainage systems caused the water to overflow into residential areas, including the Gosavis' home. Vidya returned home in the afternoon after her work to find their house submerged in knee-deep water.

Despite her efforts, she struggled to open the door, and when she finally did, she found their belongings, including the bed and washing machine, ruined by the floodwater. The couple had to spend the night in a nearby company's office.

Vidya and Mukund emphasized the need for better planning and permanent solutions to prevent future flooding in their area, ensuring such a disaster doesn't happen again.
