Witnesses reported that Kadam, armed with a sword, was aggressively waving the weapon while shouting threats. "If you don’t become mine, I won’t spare anyone in your house and will also end my own life," he reportedly yelled, instilling fear among local residents.

The incident unfolded around 5 PM on Thursday (September 19) when the complainant, along with his associate, was patrolling the area as part of their duties as Katraj marshals.

They received an urgent call from a woman who alerted them that a boy had entered her home and was threatening her daughter. Upon arrival at the scene, they found a crowd gathering as Kadam continued to menace bystanders.

Kadam was subdued by the complainant and his associate, who managed to detain him until police arrived.

Officers from the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station took him into custody and have charged him not only for violating his expulsion but also under the Arms Act. Police Sub-Inspector Nilesh Mokashi is currently leading the investigation.

This arrest comes in the wake of Kadam’s previous criminal activities, including a serious assault that resulted in the death of Prakash Renuse last December, for which Kadam had been expelled in August 2023 by Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartna Patil.
