Pimpri: In a heart-wrenching incident in Alandi, a woman burdened by her family’s financial difficulties attempted to end her life by entering the Indrayani River.

The 40-year-old woman, whose family had been struggling with severe debt, waded into the river, sitting quietly while waiting for the water current to sweep her away. The incident occurred late in the evening between 8 to 9 PM.

Local citizens, along with members of a wildlife rescue organization, noticed the woman sitting in the river and immediately rushed to her aid. Without hesitation, they pulled her out of the water, saving her life before any harm could come her way.

Upon being rescued, the Alandi police were informed, and the woman was brought to the police station.
